RFS Supports Aussie Helpers' Brekkie in a Bag.
Three times a day, every day, we need a farmer.
They look after our land, feed the nation, and often, when times are tough, their own families need support and help from others.
Refuelling Solutions continues its commitment to rural and remote communities through the exceptional work of Aussie Helpers and it’s volunteers.
The Brekkie in a Bag program, was established to supply breakfast for the young students in remote areas often going to school without breakfast.
Through Aussie Helpers’ Projects Manager, Matt Shortus, fourteen (14) remote schools, supporting 547 students in Qld, NSW and Vic have been identified as schools that have clear disadvantages due to their remote locations. For example, two schools cannot supply drinking water for their students and resort to buying bottled water from the local supermarkets.
RFS continues to broaden its sponsorship, supporting the Brekkie packs, plus additional vouchers for fresh fruit for several schools, where fresh fruit is not always a given. Over the coming year we will keep you updated with the program and the impact it is having in regional schools such as Marra Creek and Hermidale, NSW.
Aussie kids are the best!
